Ophthalmic Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at The Pueblo CO Ophthalmology ASC, LLC. As a key member of our ophthalmology department, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our board-certified ophthalmologists in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and document patient medical history and perform physical assessments
- Utilize proper techniques and procedures according to accepted standards of practice and center policies and procedures
- Apply dressings and assess patient status
- Safely use medical equipment per manufacturer's instructions for use
- Insert, assess, or discontinue various catheters and tubes
- Effectively organize and avoid wasteful practices of time, equipment, and supplies
- Observe universal precautions
- Attend all required education
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
- RN with active license, no restrictions (license in appropriate state)
- One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- CPR certification and/or ACLS-PALS certification (as required by Center)
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Basic computer skills
