Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Critical Infrastructure: Ensure the reliability and efficiency of data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with a team of technicians to deliver exceptional results and minimize risks.
- Monitor Environmental Conditions: Continuously monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls.
- Utilize CMMS: Leverage a Computerized Maintenance Management System to manage all planned and unplanned data center work.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on data center electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Develop Operating Procedures: Assist in the development, revision, and execution of operating procedures and preventive maintenance inspections.
- Resolve Electrical and Mechanical Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues within the data center quickly and efficiently.
- Respond to Emergencies: Respond to emergencies and critical issues as necessary, working independently and as a team to ensure complete recovery.
- Troubleshoot and Document Issues: Troubleshoot and document technical issues, escalating as appropriate to ensure issue resolution.
- Assist with Planning: Assist with planning on all corrective issues and physical and logical installations of T5 services.
- Maintain Facility Data: Maintain accurate facility data, including rounds, PM work orders, change management, and other relevant information.
- Adhere to Change Control Activities: Maintain strict adherence to change control activities and manage assigned workflow tasks to provide timely turnaround.
- Work with Outside Contractors: Escort and work effectively with outside contractors, ensuring they adhere to critical facility work rules.
- Complete Facility Rounds: Complete facility rounds at the beginning of each shift to ensure data center and grounds upkeep.
- Follow Corporate Policies: Follow T5 data center corporate policies and procedures.
- Participate in Training: Participate in facility training programs on a regular basis.
- Assist in Facility Operations: Assist in facility operations as required.
- Participate in Construction and Commissioning: Participate in construction and commissioning activities as directed by the CFM.
- Work Flexible Hours: Work shifts to support 24×7 data center operation and have flexibility in work hours to cover other shifts.
- On-Call Support: Provide on-call emergency support as required.
- Adhere to Safety Laws: Adhere to all federal and local safety laws.
