Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is currently in search of a Registered Dietitian to contribute to our nutritional support team. This is a part-time role (16 hours per week) with competitive compensation based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

- The Registered Dietitian delivers safe and effective nutritional care systematically and comprehensively.
- Provides clinical services and serves as a resource for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal nutritional care for patients.
- Conducts thorough assessments by analyzing diverse and sometimes conflicting data to identify interrelationships.
- Develops personalized nutrition care plans based on assessment results and identifies trends in patient populations to implement best practices.
- Proactively addresses nutritional intervention challenges, monitors patient responses to nutrition therapy, and adjusts care as necessary.
- Coordinates nutrition care plans with physicians and other healthcare providers, integrating nutrition strategies into the overall patient care plan.
- Engages with healthcare team members, patients, and families to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to expand practice knowledge and apply it to nutrition care planning.
- Educates physicians, residents, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize nutrition therapy results.
- Incorporates research findings into nutrition practice standards, updates patient education programs, and contributes to the development of educational materials.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
