KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Security System Designer II, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Producing comprehensive physical security design documentation using Revit.
  • Managing multiple routine and moderately complex projects simultaneously.

POSITION DUTIES

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

Design Responsibilities

  • Reviewing design documents and coordinating with architectural and engineering teams.
  • Supporting engineers in drafting and modeling security floor plans, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Quality Assurance

  • Engaging in quality control processes by reviewing drawings and suggesting necessary design modifications.
  • Ensuring that all drawings meet project scope, schedule, and quality standards.

Project Oversight

  • Adhering to project budgets and timelines for efficient design delivery.
  • Maintaining organized project files and documentation.

Team Collaboration

  • Working closely with Engineers and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior System Designers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Revit experience in a professional setting, along with 2 years in system design or security technology.
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience, with Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Electrical Design preferred.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with electronic security systems and vendor-specific technologies is advantageous.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with preferred experience in Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Dynamo.
  • Abilities: A tech-savvy individual with a curiosity for new technologies and the ability to integrate them into daily tasks.
