Position Overview: The Clinical Exercise Physiologist plays a crucial role in managing various health conditions with a high level of expertise and medical proficiency to guarantee exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, prescribe, and implement tailored exercise therapy for patients with cardiac conditions.
- Support the development of healthy lifestyle practices for individuals in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
- Engage professionally with patients and their families, incorporating them into the care planning process.
- Provide education on a wide range of health-related subjects, adapting to the learning, cultural, and psychosocial needs of each patient.
- Facilitate strength training and balance sessions, ensuring patient safety and engagement.
- Monitor patients' cardiac function through our EKG monitoring system and accurately document findings in their medical records.
- Complete medical documentation and monthly reports in accordance with Medicare and JACHO standards.
- Finalize discharge paperwork upon completion of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program.
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Act as the first responder in emergency situations within the Cardiac Rehabilitation setting.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of an AED and portable oxygen equipment.
