At The Bridge at Ooltewah, we're seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN Resident Care Nurse to join our team.

This role involves providing quality assisted living services through interpersonal contact and maximizing residents' individual capabilities in accordance with laws, regulations, and our community standards.

The LPN Resident Care Nurse will work closely with the Resident Care Director to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the medication program, including accuracy of medication assistance records (MARs), providing hands-on medication assistance to residents, and monitoring med passes.
  • Perform treatments according to physician orders.
  • Take blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar, etc.
  • Chart relevant information about residents.
  • Update and inform physicians of changes in residents' conditions.
  • Take physician orders, transcribe new orders to medication sheets, and chart appropriately.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living.
  • Order and reorder medications for residents from assigned pharmacies as needed.
  • Promptly respond to call lights and other requests from residents.
  • Provide report to staff for the next shift.
  • Assist the Resident Care Director with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Assist with training, supervision, and counseling of the resident care team.
  • Assist with scheduling department hours appropriately.
  • Serve as an effective role model.
  • Treat all associates respectfully.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from an accredited program.
  • Must maintain an active LPN license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year experience in senior services preferred.
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire, or obtain during orientation, and maintain current certification during employment.
  • Must have current First Aid certification (if required by State).
