Salary and Benefits

Job Description

We are seeking an Auditor Coding Clinic Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coding and abstracting patients' records for professional billing. You will review patient medical records retrospectively and concurrently for the coding and sequencing of diagnoses and procedures for reimbursement purposes. You will also interact and assist with coding requests and questions from billers, serving as a resource for difficult coding questions and assisting with insurance denials for correction and re-filing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of two years current experience with ICDM 9, CPT coding, and health insurance provider rules and regulations. You will also need to have a coding certification and knowledge of anatomy and physiology and medical terminology. You must be able to demonstrate professional, appropriate, effective, and tactful written, verbal, and nonverbal communication with patients, families, medical staff, colleagues, vendors, and other departments throughout the continuum of care to promote continuity of care and services and enhance department image.
