About the Role

  • Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere during meal times, ensuring resident satisfaction and comfort.
  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and serving, maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
  • Present menus, take orders, and serve meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchenettes, dining areas, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the main kitchen and other floors to meet food needs and ensure seamless service.
  • Document tasks and activities in required log books as directed by the Director of Food Service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including running the dish machine, washing dishes, and special cleaning assignments.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training;
  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and management;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.

Compensation and Benefits
