\u2022\t Monitor formulation/utilization of clinical records to assist in resolving patient problems
\u2022\t Provide and coordinate clinical learning experience for staff and students
\u2022\t Plan and assist in patient teaching
\u2022\t Act as liaison between patient, family, physician, clinician, and staff
\u2022\t Ensure maintenance of equipment, supply levels, required records, and reports
\u2\t Maintain departmental reports and records
\u2022\t Collect statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes
\u2022\t Attend technical and administrative meetings
\u2022\t Participate in committee functions
\u2022\t Participate in hospital-wide activities and committees within the scope of this position or as directed
\u2022\t Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings, and workshops
\u2022\t Support education and research in conjunction with the Unit Medical Director
\u2022\t Develop and administer the division\u2019s annual budget
\u2022\t Monitor and approve expenditures
\u2022\t Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures, and protocols
\u2022\t Demonstrate a proactive approach to patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve patient safety through questioning of current policies and processes
\u2022\t Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at undue risk
\u2022\t Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors, and/or near misses in a timely manner
\u2022\t Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting treatment or situations that they don\u2019t understand or may not seem right
