About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at St. Louis Children's Hospital. As an inpatient Speech Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and families, providing expert care and support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop targeted interventions to improve communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and families.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies, as well as on the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure best practices in speech therapy.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Missouri.
  • ASHA certification preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in inpatient settings.
