Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Madison, Virginia. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and reimbursement requirements.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies and home exercises, promoting independence and self-advocacy.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for CCC.
  • Experience working within a medical setting, preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility or similar setting.
