  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to implement strategic projects, including but not limited to, enhancing retail banking products, services, and experiences.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of retail banking deposit and loan products, making recommendations for enhancements based on member needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership, AVP of Business Development, VP of Corporate and Community Partnerships, and marketing to ensure retail banking sales teams achieve deposit and loan growth targets.
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to deploy strategies and campaigns to attract new members and retain existing ones.
  • Provide support for community outreach, business development, financial literacy events, and networking to promote the credit union's products and services.
  • Collaborate with Executive leadership to determine the retail banking budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and achievement of financial targets.
  • Monitor branch and contact center financial performance, including deposits, loans, and fee income, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure that all retail banking operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with retail banking activities.
  • Maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard member assets.
  • Ensure consistent business practices across the branch network allowing for satisfactory audits.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing retail banking team.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Achieves a minimum of "Satisfactory" rating on internal audits and examinations.
  • Accomplishes the credit union's mission by completing relevant duties as needed when requested by management or other staff members.

Requirements
  • Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in retail banking, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a financial institution is required.
  • Possesses strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has proven track record of achieving business growth and improving member experience.
  • Holds in-depth knowledge of retail banking products, services, and operations.
  • Exhibits strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
