Job SummaryWe are seeking a professional who can apply their accounting education and experience to join our team as an Accounting Officer Specialist. The incumbent will perform routine, professional program accounting work of average complexity related to the Claims Processing and Benefit Payment Control activities.
Responsibilities- Makes monetary eligibility determinations and adjustments as they relate to the various Claims Processing and Benefit Payment Control workload processes.
- Utilizes a variety of databases, analyzes information obtained from a variety of Federal, State and Departmental sources, and makes complex determinations and adjustments as it relates to the Unemployment Insurance (UI) and Disability Insurance (DI) programs.
- Performs lead activities for subordinate staff by providing training, reviewing staff work, and providing feedback on the various Claims Processing and Benefit Payment Control workloads.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to frequent workload changes based on organizational workload priorities.
Work will be conducted at EDD office located in Rancho Cordova and remotely. Free parking is available.
