Impact of Your Role:

As a mobile imaging specialist, you will:

Conduct mobile diagnostic imaging procedures across diverse environments to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various health conditions. This role also encompasses additional responsibilities aimed at enhancing patient care, customer service, image quality, operational effectiveness, and the mentorship of fellow imaging professionals.

  • Capability to perform comprehensive x-ray examinations, including skull, abdomen, and spine

Your Daily Responsibilities:

  • Travel to various locations to perform portable x-ray and EKG examinations in settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and residential homes.
  • Adhere to all company policies and protocols while executing diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Gather and confirm all necessary documentation and patient information prior to conducting exams.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Operate portable imaging equipment at the patient's location or designated exam areas.
  • Adjust exposure settings based on patient specifics such as height, weight, and the area being examined.
  • Exhibit safe work practices, including safe driving, radiation safety, and infection control measures.
  • Process and review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
  • Transmit images and related documentation promptly according to company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records, visit logs, and reports in compliance with standard protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of imaging equipment and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations related to portable imaging procedures.
  • Provide training and orientation to new employees as requested.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including order validation and communication with radiologists.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the company’s mission, values, and ethical standards.
  • Engage positively with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Meet all state and federal requirements for performing portable x-rays, including ARRT registration or state-specific licensing.
  • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to navigate stairs while carrying equipment.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
