Position Overview:
The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms are cleaned and prepared to meet established cleanliness standards, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction and maximizing revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve items from storage areas and prepare cleaning carts with necessary supplies, maintaining organization for efficiency.
- Clean and sanitize windows, doors, walls, and fixtures in guest rooms and public areas, utilizing ladders or stools for hard-to-reach spots.
- Ensure restrooms are hygienic by thoroughly cleaning showers, toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Replace towels, soaps, and room amenities, ensuring adequate supplies for incoming guests.
- Perform detailed cleaning of hard floor areas and dust all furniture and fixtures, including high and low surfaces.
- Change bed linens and check for cleanliness of bedding items.
- Vacuum rooms and public areas, moving furniture as necessary to ensure thorough cleaning.
- Inspect room equipment and report any maintenance issues to management promptly.
- Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor while securing and managing cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education: No formal education required.
Experience: Previous experience is not necessary.
Knowledge/Skills: Basic understanding of cleaning principles and the use of cleaning products is essential. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively is required.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform strenuous physical activities throughout the shift.
Environment: Work primarily indoors in a climate-controlled setting, with exposure to heat and humidity in laundry areas.
