We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Care Centers of NYC. As an Overnight LVT, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to animals in our shelter, working closely with our on-call veterinarian to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced technical support to animals in our shelter, including diagnostics, medication administration, and emergency procedures.
- Manage treatment plans for hospitalized patients, including critical care cases.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and quality medical care for all animals in the shelter.
- Collaborate with our on-call veterinarian to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Eligibility for and willingness to apply for euthanasia technician certification.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Dependable, reliable, and efficient.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- A competitive salary of $33.00/hour.
