Job Overview

The Fluid Power Systems Technician will be tasked with the design, specification, and estimation of mobile hydraulic systems, along with various service packages for Seneca Tank dealerships. This position will collaborate closely with suppliers, technical specialists, dealership teams, and production units to enhance and implement improvements in mobile hydraulic systems and their operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not include any supervisory duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, specify, and quote mobile hydraulic systems
  • Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and manage material requisitions
  • Provide training and guidance to service and production mechanics on the correct installation of mobile hydraulic systems
  • Utilize SolidWorks Electrical to develop and update hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics for installations
  • Draft and revise Technical Service Bulletins for company-wide distribution
  • Deliver hands-on troubleshooting and technical assistance to customers and technicians
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in petroleum transportation and mobile hydraulic applications
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proficient in creating blueprints and schematics using SolidWorks
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, email, and ERP systems
Accountability
  • Ensure accuracy in BOM and requisition processes
  • Meet SLA for quotes and requisitions
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly
  • Visual acuity for tasks requiring clarity at varying distances
  • Capability to engage in physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting

Employment Conditions

Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening upon receiving a conditional offer. Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight stays, is required.
