Nutritionist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a Nutritionist III, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of residents in long-term care facilities by conducting on-site inspections and investigations.

• Conduct on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to assess compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information and address issues.
• Develop and implement plans to correct deficiencies and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of documents and reports.
• Testify at hearings and in court proceedings as needed.

• Professionally qualified as a dietician.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition standards, dietary sanitation practices, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use computer software and write reports.
