Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage Team Members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Order and manage raw materials and supplies to meet customer demands and optimize inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement merchandising plans to stimulate business growth and meet financial objectives.
  • Monitor and control department costs to increase profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Produce Manager to ensure effective leadership and management of the Produce Department.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in grocery operations or a related field.
  • Prior management experience and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Market District operational procedures and ability to read and interpret Profit and Loss statements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Lifting requirement: up to 50 pounds.
  • Age requirement: at least 18 years of age.
