Position OverviewAs a dynamic and rapidly growing franchised organization, we are in search of a highly driven and seasoned Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence. This pivotal role is essential in refining our operational workflows and guaranteeing effective franchise support.
This position will oversee the implementation of all system initiatives across stores in alignment with the broader strategic objectives. The individual will harmonize the demands of Scooter's Coffee's enterprise goals with the daily operational needs of the business and its stores.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
• Establish and communicate a clear vision for initiative execution and coordinate deployment.
• Spearhead the rollout of all strategic plan programs and system initiatives to stores through a structured deployment process.
• Design and manage the annual Store Execution calendar to support the Strategic Plan.
• Define appropriate deployment strategies and schedule the use of suitable mechanisms.
• Influence leadership on the timing and methods of program deployment to maximize strategic impact at the store level.
• Prioritize and sequence program/initiative deployment to enhance the likelihood of success at the store level.
• Ensure a consistent approach to program deployment to mitigate implementation risks and facilitate understanding of new initiatives.
• Bridge the gap between strategic development at headquarters and tactical execution at the stores.
• Collaborate with corporate resources on the strategic design of programs where store managers and baristas are the end users.
• Determine, in conjunction with executives, the viability of deploying planned programs/initiatives.
• Ensure that communications to the field are clear, concise, and timely.
Training Leadership
• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive franchisee training programs, including a full curriculum for business ownership, operational processes, team development, and sales growth.
• Oversee the team responsible for implementing and delivering franchise-level training programs that drive performance and success.
• Direct the strategy for a learning roadmap that supports new franchisee success from day one throughout their tenure.
• Develop processes for measuring and reporting the effectiveness of training programs through various assessment methods.
Team and Relationship Management
• Maintain strong relationships with franchisees, company leadership, and store managers to understand operational needs and challenges.
• Actively participate in the Operating Systems Team, collaborating across various functions.
• Educate teams on the impact of their work on other design teams and the stores.
• Provide guidance and support to franchisees regarding daily operations, compliance, and best practices.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team culture, developing trusted relationships internally and externally.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Over 10 years of proven experience in operations within a franchised or multi-location retail environment.
• At least 5 years of team leadership experience.
• Experience in a restaurant/QSR brand is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with a brand that has 500+ locations.
• Broad understanding of the Strategic Plan's objectives and how individual stakeholders contribute to success.
• Demonstrated ability to influence others for the broader brand's benefit.
• Strong understanding of franchise operations, compliance, and quality assurance.
• Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools, with strong organizational and project management skills.
