We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Dermatology team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Initiate and document patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication with attending physicians and other care providers.
- Perform daily patient rounds to monitor progress and address any concerns.
- Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests as needed.
- Interpret laboratory and test results to inform patient care decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Document patient information, including discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on post-discharge care instructions.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
- Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Current BLS certification.
