About Weigel Productions:

Weigel Productions is tasked with generating original content for Weigel's television and digital platforms. The team consists of producers, writers, editors, directors of photography, graphic artists, and researchers, working on projects such as Toon In With Me, Svengoolie, Collector's Call, and My Start Story.

General Job Description:

Interns at Weigel Productions engage in practical, hands-on responsibilities from the outset. They collaborate with an experienced production team, acquiring valuable insights into the dynamic environment of daily television production. This internship presents a unique chance to understand the intricacies of producing daily television content.

Overview:

This internship role will support the Weigel Productions team, requiring up to 20 hours of work per week. All interns receive compensation for their contributions, and Weigel Broadcasting Co. does not offer housing assistance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Review research for daily stories and long-term projects
  • Provide input on storyboard edits for editors
  • Assist in organizing assets for editors and graphic artists
  • Help with administrative tasks to facilitate program airing
  • Gain exposure to both studio and field production
  • Create stories from research to completion
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • Interest in history, pop culture, and news
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of a daily television program
