The Pharmacovigilance, Patient Safety, Epidemiology, and Quality (PSEQ) organization works collaboratively with colleagues across the product lifecycle to ensure quality standards of AbbVie products. This team is responsible for developing and launching new medical device products to patients worldwide.

As a Quality Automation Intern, you will support the Medical Device Combo Product Research and Development Quality Assurance (MDCP RDQA) organization. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting a team of R&D QA development partners around the globe
  • Leading efforts to build tools to collect and organize existing SOPs, regulations, standards, and guidance documents
  • Exploring potential ways to automate quality activities, such as DHF documentation reviews
  • Implementing knowledge management frameworks and best practices to optimize search functionality and ensure efficiency and consistency

AbbVie strongly considers high-performing interns as candidates for the Patient Safety & Quality Development Program, a two-year rotational program aimed at developing the leaders of tomorrow within the Patient Safety and Quality function.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, or other related field
  • Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
  • Expected graduation date between December 2025 – June 2026
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques
  • Experience with data bank, data structure, and data analysis
  • Proficiency in data mining and extraction techniques
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop strategies for the use of Business Intelligence and Analytical tools
