Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure safe operation.
- Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues with mobile equipment, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair crushing and mobile equipment, including heavy machinery and vehicles.
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding, brazing, and cutting tasks as required to support equipment maintenance and repair.
- Communication: Collaborate with the shop team to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certification or experience in heavy equipment maintenance preferred.
- Experience: Three years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, preferably in the construction or public works industry.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read and interpret technical documentation, and proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.
