Job Summary

As a skilled Maintenance Technician at International Flavors & Fragrances, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery. This position requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment problems using mechanical knowledge, technical documentation, and manufacturer literature.
  • Installation and Removal: Remove or install valves, pumps, motors, piping, and other equipment to facilitate maintenance activities or install new equipment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure quality products by removing and replacing filters, measuring and cutting gaskets, and lubricating gearboxes and other equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure safety and compliance with regulations, and perform rigging and lifting tasks to move and install equipment.
  • Documentation and Communication: Utilize site computer systems to enter time card information, order equipment, and retrieve maintenance history, and coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure safe and correct work.
Fitness Requirements:
  • Lift material up to 50 pounds
  • Push/Pull material up to 50 pounds
  • Use hands to twist, grip, turn repetitively
  • Repetitive use of elbow flexing, wrist, shoulder
  • Stand in a static position for up to 2 hours at a time
  • Walk on a flat surface distances up to.5 miles at a time
  • Climb ladders up to 12 feet
  • Climb in to and out of forklift
  • Work with head in a tilted position (up to 70 degrees)
  • Work in a squatting position
  • Work in a sitting position
  • Type using a keyboard up to 1 hour per day
  • Medically qualified to wear a respirator
