The Solar Energy Solutions Engineer will be instrumental in connecting the business development and operational teams to ensure precise and timely bidding for new solar initiatives. Key responsibilities encompass:
- Assisting in all business development activities through the preparation of sales proposals and cost analysis.
- Utilizing software tools such as Helioscope and Energy Toolbase for initial designs and proposals.
- Coordinating and preparing quotes from subcontractors while managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Maintaining adherence to bidding timelines and overseeing new sales prospects throughout the sales process.
- Conducting site assessments and ensuring comprehensive documentation aligns with financier standards.
- Researching project specifications and managing preliminary site evaluations.
- Collaborating with the Director of Operations to finalize project timelines and cost estimates.
Essential Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating and/or project management.
- At least 3 years of experience within the photovoltaic sector, with a preference for commercial exposure.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.
- Familiarity with both residential and commercial solar PV systems.
- Understanding of construction costs and principles.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Basic proficiency in CAD and software such as Helioscope or Aurora.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000, plus performance-based bonuses.
