Job Summary and Qualifications

The Critical Care Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing services, advocating for patients to ensure an outstanding healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Carry out procedures or tasks as directed by the medical team.
  • Accurately document care provided in the patient's medical records in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment utilized in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or equivalent must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
