The Physical Therapist will provide high-quality patient care within their scope of practice to a diverse range of patient diagnoses across all ages, from pediatric to geriatric populations, in various settings including Acute Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Orthopedics, and Outpatient Services at Cox South and other facilities.
The Physical Therapist will assist patients in regaining normal movement and functioning patterns through the use of therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities.
Patients will be referred for medical and educational services as indicated.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services, including mobility, assistive devices, counseling, and orientation, to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
- Responsible for providing expert physical therapy services to patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of physical disabilities and impairments.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest physical therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
- At least 5 years of related experience in physical therapy, with a strong clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Demonstrated interest in professional growth through attendance at continuing education workshops and applications of new principles and techniques.
- Active License of Physical Therapy in the state of Missouri.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
