Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Lihue, HI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic issues, and ensuring our fleet of heavy duty vehicles is running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
