Acquisition Analyst Job Description

At Intuitive Research & Technology Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Acquisition Analyst to support acquisition activities for our government customer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and best practices, with a proven track record in managing complex acquisition projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert analysis and support in the development and execution of Army/DoD acquisition strategies, plans, and programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of acquisition requirements, including market research, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Assist in the coordination and development of documents required for Contract Requirements Packages (CRP), to include conducting market research; determining commerciality; coordinating the development of the Performance Work Statement/Statements of Work (PWS/SOW), Justification and Approvals (J&A), independent government cost estimates (IGCE), inter-agency agreements.
  • Assist in the coordination and development of the Data Requirements to include Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs) and Document Summary Lists (DSLs).
  • Develop and track milestone schedules in accordance with Procurement Acquisition Lead times (PALT) goals.
  • Provide advice and recommendations related to DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations to include federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant guidelines.
  • Track and report on acquisition project progress, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including program managers, contracting officers, and industry partners, to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • Stay current with changes in acquisition policies, regulations, and best practices, and provide training and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership to support the overall mission and objectives of the organization.
Requirements:
  • BS or BA degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DoD acquisition, procurement, or contract management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct detailed analysis of acquisition requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • High level of discretion and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Must have an in-scope Secret security clearance.
