Surgical Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner Surgical Nocturnist to join our medical team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch surgical care to our patients during the night shift. Responsibilities:

Providing surgical care to patients during the night shift, including performing surgical procedures, assisting in surgeries, and providing post-operative care.
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Monitoring and evaluating patients' conditions, developing treatment plans, and adjusting them as necessary.
Responding to emergencies promptly and efficiently, demonstrating superior problem-solving skills and clinical judgment.
Conducting rounds, recording patient medical histories, and interpreting test results.
Educating patients and their families on post-operative care and other relevant health issues.
Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Requirements:

Active Nurse Practitioner license.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized nursing institution.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a specific focus on surgical care.
Experience in critical care is highly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of surgical procedures, patient care, and medical protocols.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, clinical judgment, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently and handle high-stress situations effectively.
Willingness to work night shifts on a regular basis.
Commitment to continual learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with advancements in the medical field.

Flexible scheduling with another FTE sharing 6 shifts from 7p-7a bi-weekly.
Per Diem staff also able to support flexibility.
