Housekeeping Manager Job Description

At Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown, we're seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Manager to join our dynamic pre-opening team. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily housekeeping operations, including maintaining cleanliness, service, and product quality standards in guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
  • Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee and conduct room inspections to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
  • Recruit, interview, and train team members to ensure a high-performing housekeeping team.
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance, including providing supervision, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and rewards.
Requirements:
  • 1 or more years of housekeeping experience in hospitality, residential, hospital, or senior living facilities.
  • Previous supervisor or management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
