About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Jamestown Family Dental Clinic. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional oral health services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine patients' oral cavities, record conditions, and refer patients to the dentist as needed.
  • Apply desensitizing agents, topical agents, and perform oral prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride application.
  • Expose, develop, and mount dental radiographs, interpret results, and select X-rays for patient education.
  • Record medical history, treatment administered, and maintain dental instrument integrity.
  • Disinfect operatories, sterilize instruments, and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Instruct patients in proper oral hygiene care, including brushing, flossing, and use of periodontal aids.
Requirements
  • Washington State Dental Hygienist License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification for Healthcare providers
  • Annually completes 15 clock hours of continuing education (CE)
  • Thorough understanding of dental and oral anatomy, oral physiology, and preventive dentistry
  • Skill and dexterity in performing prophylactic procedures, including scaling and root planning
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication
