Job Summary

This position is responsible for fully performing basic Medical Assistant duties, ensuring seamless unit operations by effectively managing patient flow. Key responsibilities include managing front desk duties specific to the department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information, and other patient documentation. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. The Medical Assistant must also abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications

  • Experience: 1 year of MA experience preferred but not required
  • Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant Program Required
  • Licenses/Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
