Montgomery & Associates (M&A) is seeking a full-time hydrogeologist to contribute to our project initiatives on a Superfund site. The selected candidate can operate from various locations. Project responsibilities will necessitate periodic travel for in-person project work and meetings. Our team currently maintains a minimum of 50% in-office work.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Design, oversee, and execute field investigations, including soil gas, groundwater, and indoor air monitoring and sampling events.
- Manage a routine groundwater monitoring program.
- Coordinate well permitting, drilling, design, construction, testing, sampling, rehabilitation, and abandonment from both office and field settings.
- Supervise M&A field teams and subcontractors.
- Engage with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and water suppliers.
- Analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Direct, train, and mentor junior staff members.
- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrology, or engineering; a graduate degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional consulting experience.
- Professional registration (P.G.) is preferred.
- Experience in investigating, testing, and conceptualizing subsurface hydrogeologic conditions and contaminant fate and transport.
- Familiarity with pumping tests, groundwater models, groundwater remediation technologies, and CERCLA regulations.
- Experience with vapor intrusion and indoor air investigations and remediation is a plus.
- Project management experience.
- Effective communication skills, including technical writing and presenting technical work in large group settings.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug tests if requested.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Eligibility to legally work and reside in the United States.
