Physician - Chief of Ambulatory Services

The Syracuse VA Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced physician to serve as Chief of Ambulatory Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of our Ambulatory Care ICC.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the success of our Ambulatory Care ICC.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative operations to ensure integrated goals and priorities are established and met.
- Provide leadership, coordination, and direction to the entire Ambulatory Care ICC to achieve optimal utilization of available resources.
- Responsible for staffing, work assignments, budget, and oversight of the clinical services provided.
- Establish and maintain admission criteria for the Ambulatory Care programs and oversee program operations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have a degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Must have a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Board Certification in Internal or Family Medicine.
- Experience in primary care.
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with day shift hours that may vary depending on the needs of the service.
