Neurosurgery Physician Assistant Associate Role

Responsibilities- Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Conducts daily patient rounds, gathering medical history, performing physical examinations, and formulating differential diagnoses.
- Orders and interprets laboratory and other diagnostic tests within the scope of practice.
- Follows up with patients and their families, providing education and counseling on diagnosis, treatment plans, and medications.
- Coordinates with supervising physicians regarding patient admissions and provides necessary information and action.
- Formulates discharge plans and works collaboratively with case management to ensure safe and timely discharge.
- Completes hospital and department documentation accurately and within designated time frames.
- Prescribes and dispenses medications and medical devices in accordance with established regulations.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A degree as a Physician Assistant.
- AZ state Physician Assistant License.
- NCCPA certification.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification - National.
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification - National.
- Credentialed as an allied health professional with our medical centers.
One year of advanced practice experience in neurosurgery is preferred.
