Behavioral Health Specialist

This role's primary function is to supervise residents and ensure their safety while building a rapport with them. This includes providing assistance to each resident in reaching their daily goals, conducting skill-building groups, providing individual support, setting limits for behavior, creating documentation of the resident's progress, and identifying and communicating the individual needs of the client to the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in recreational and activity groups to promote socialization and skill-building.
- Mentor and assist residents with meeting treatment goals, providing individualized support and guidance.
- Consistently review the physical environment to ensure safety and well-being of residents.
- Monitor and record residents' actions and behavior, providing accurate and timely documentation.
- Facilitate residential daily schedule, including participating in and providing support to residents during activities such as chores, meal service, laundry service, groups, activities, and events.
- Provide transportation to residents for community outings and meetings in company vehicles in a safe and legal manner.
- Enforce house rules and policies, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Ensure 100% supervision of residents at all times.
- Practice compliance with all policies, record-keeping requirements, checklist assignments, assigned documentation, and any other assigned duties.
- Report signs of increased aggression, suicidal behavior, the danger of elopement, etc., and take necessary safety precautions.
- Maintain compliance with all required training and certifications.
- Must be 20 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass an FBI background check.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior work experience with adolescents in other behavioral health treatment settings is a plus.
- Must have a current valid driver's license.
