As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will assess, design, and implement tailored Physical Therapy programs aimed at restoring functionality, preventing disabilities, and enhancing the physical capabilities of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, employing various assessment techniques to develop a comprehensive care plan that includes necessary modalities, therapeutic exercises, and educational resources, considering the patient's overall diagnosis and recovery needs.
- Collect and analyze relevant data from medical records, physician assessments, and patient interviews to inform treatment decisions.
- Set achievable functional goals in collaboration with patients, providing evidence-based interventions and continually assessing progress to modify care plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, referral sources, and clinical staff regarding patient evaluations and treatment progress, coordinating schedules and discharge planning.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians as required by licensure regulations.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and their families.
- Demonstrate physical capabilities to perform job duties, including lifting patients and equipment, and engaging in various physical activities throughout the day.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment as necessary to ensure safety in clinical settings.
- Work in a dynamic clinical environment, primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor responsibilities.
