What will you do?
As a Lead Engineer, you are responsible for managing the design and engineering of NewCold warehouse development projects together with your team of Project Engineers.
You will be:
- Leading a team of project engineers.
- Managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs.
- Overseeing construction and commissioning from a design perspective to ensure completion of projects as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Evaluating and improving the changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project.
- Monitoring the engineering process based on quality and Total Cost of Ownership.
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Providing input regarding project outcomes and resolving escalated issues arising from operations in coordination with other departments.
- In collaboration with the Director Design & Engineering, providing strategic direction to ensure successful project outcomes and completion.
- Ensuring your team is meeting the project timelines on the assigned projects in North America.
- Giving engineering life-cycle support to built-up warehouses.
- Providing support to Business Development initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, with a Master's Degree preferred.
At least 6 years of project experience in logistic real estate.
Experience in leading smaller engineering project teams.
Living in the Chicago metropolitan area and able to work from our Chicago office.
Comfortable working in an international and dynamic work environment.
