Key Responsibilities:
As a Technical Support Service Lead, you will play a pivotal role in transforming technology into opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. **Support Management**: Assist the Help Desk Manager in overseeing operations, which may involve training new personnel, generating reports, managing shift schedules, and providing coverage for shift gaps.
2. **Second-Tier Support**: Offer second-tier assistance to end-users for various applications and hardware, addressing issues that first-tier support cannot resolve.
3. **Problem Resolution**: Collaborate with network services and software systems engineering to restore services and identify core issues. Simulate user problems to troubleshoot operational difficulties and recommend system modifications to minimize user issues.
4. **Customer Interaction**: Provide first contact and incident resolution for customers experiencing hardware, software, and application problems, both via telephone and electronically submitted requests.
5. **System Administration**: Conduct systems administration for desktop systems connected to local and wide area networks, including account monitoring, creation, security, and OS installation.
6. **Real-Time Monitoring**: Monitor systems and networks in a real-time environment, initiating corrective actions or escalating issues to higher-level administrators as necessary.
7. **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of incident statuses and solutions in incident database tools, ensuring comprehensive knowledge of troubleshooting methods and techniques.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Daily interaction with customers to provide guidance on account requests and local procedures.
- Knowledge of network and systems administration principles.
- Experience with STIGs & IAVA implementation, imaging systems, and Active Directory functions.
- Familiarity with DoD environments and NOSC support.
Clearance Requirement:
TS/SCI
Certifications:
DoD M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification is required prior to support on contract.
