Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Project Manager / Estimator with a focus on commercial electrical projects, particularly in the design-build sector. This role involves overseeing projects from conceptual design through to completion, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial electrical systems and a proven track record in managing large-scale design-build projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive estimates and proposals for design-build commercial electrical projects up to $10 million.
  • Lead the design-build process, coordinating between design and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage all phases of design-build projects, from initial concept and design through execution and completion.
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives and design specifications are met.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients and industry partners.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial electrical project management and estimating, with a strong focus on design-build projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial electrical systems, industry standards, and local codes.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale design-build projects up to $10 million.
  • Strong understanding of the design-build process, including design coordination and integration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
