Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics in Bellevue. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Send and receive patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA and other state and federal regulations.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs, as well as clinic procedures according to policy and procedure.
- Assist physicians with procedures and document patient information into the medical record.
- Answer calls and provide pertinent information, including patient education as directed.
- Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Manage inventory of supplies and restock exam/procedure rooms as needed.
- Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information, and complete forms/requisitions as necessary.
- Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics, and prepare and manage charts to ensure information is completed and filed appropriately.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic, and treatment room responsibilities.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
