Job Overview


Shriners Children's stands as the leading medical center for pediatric burn, orthopedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and various pediatric subspecialties.

We are seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist to fulfill a vital role within our organization.

Key Responsibilities


The surgical technologist (ST) plays a crucial role in the surgical healthcare team, acting as the scrub person.

The ST operates under the guidance of the registered nurse and surgeon to ensure the safe and efficient execution of invasive surgical procedures. This includes maintaining a secure operating room environment, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, and conducting the operative procedure under conditions that prioritize patient safety.


The hours for this PRN position will be determined based on coverage for PTO and days off, typically falling on weekdays during daytime hours.

Education

High School Diploma / GED

Certification/Licensure

Certified Surgical Technologist

CPR Certification

Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience in scrub and circulation skills is required.

Prior experience with sterile techniques, infection control, sterilization, and disinfection procedures is essential.
