You will also provide guidance to application users, testers, developers, and other team members for understanding functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective. Additionally, you will develop and maintain comprehension of the database architecture and general application functionality to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. You will perform installation of routine and emergency database patches, upgrades, and backups. You will monitor database audit trails to ensure meeting regulatory compliance. You will review and analyze Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) against the Oracle database environment and WebLogic environment. You will perform monitoring, audit trail analysis, performance tuning, backups, and recovery of databases using Oracle tools and utilities. You will perform initial testing of new systems and analyze any resulting test failures. You will research Oracle database business process solutions and assist in determining the viability of adopting them in the client environment. This position is located in a secure facility.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience using Oracle 10g, 11g, 12g, or 19c.
  • Experience working in a professional environment.
  • Experience using Oracle tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Toad, Golden Gate, RMAN, WebLogic, and Data Guard.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems and platforms and query languages to maintain database operations and to perform error diagnostics and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of applying data mining, data storage, and data warehousing concepts, methods, and technology.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • CompTIA Security+ or information assurance certification.

Additional Qualifications
  • Experience working in a government environment.
  • Experience in mitigating Security Technical Implementation Guides findings.
  • Knowledge of the concept of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related technical degree.
  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
