Job Summary

Wisconsin Community Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Treatment Specialist to join our team at the State Certified Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility. As a key member of our therapeutic milieu, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and behavioral well-being of youth aged 10-17.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and coaching to youth, promoting skill development and empowerment in a therapeutic environment.
  • Conduct room checks and ensure the safety of youth during sleeping hours, adhering to clinical recommendations and protocols.
  • Perform milieu management and coaching, responding to emotional dysregulation and crisis situations while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring seamless care and high-quality services.
  • Document youth participation in activities and interactions, maintaining accurate records in our electronic database.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 21 years old (at least 2 years older than the oldest resident).
  • Working knowledge of positive child/youth development, patience, and understanding of difficult life situations.
  • Ability to interact with youth and/or parents in a calm and professional manner.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements (preferred).
Working Conditions

This role requires flexibility, with a rotation of weekend coverage and holiday rotation. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, supporting youth who have experienced trauma and may exhibit challenging behaviors. You must be able to lift 30 pounds and use physical interventions if necessary to ensure the safety of youth and staff.
