Responsibilities
  • Strategic Guidance and Recommendations: Provide actionable recommendations to R&D team leaders and executives to influence the business and serve as a trusted partner.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Perform various financial planning and analysis processes, including financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, close responsibilities, and annual plan processes.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare dynamic monthly and quarterly management reporting, analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating key messages to senior leadership.
  • Cloud Infrastructure and Carrier Expenses: Build models and identify opportunities to optimize cloud infrastructure and carriers expenses.
  • Software Usage and Spend Trends: Partner with budget owners to analyze software usage and spend trends.
  • Process Improvement: Develop new processes and tools to drive scalable analysis and insights.
  • Strategic Reporting and Scenario Modeling: Build strategic reports and present scenario models for efficient allocation of resources to projects/products to senior leadership.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Create models and ad hoc analysis to help management evaluate the impact of decisions on short and long-term plans.
Requirements
  • Finance Experience: 3+ years of relevant finance experience preferred; SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Financial and Operational Planning Skills: Strong financial and operational planning skills.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Solid problem-solving ability and experience working through ambiguity or unknown datasets.
  • Influencing and Communication Skills: Ability to influence at all levels of an organization with an emphasis on partnering with various business leaders.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in building Excel-based financial models, with an emphasis on aggregating and analyzing data to provide actionable insights.
  • Corporate Finance Concepts and Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles.
  • Financial and ERP Systems: Experience with Financial and ERP systems, such as Adaptive Insights and Netsuite.
