Job Summary and Qualifications


POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the LVN staff nurse delivers care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Collaborating with the patient, their family, and other healthcare team members, the clinical LVN operates under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide patient care.


What qualifications you will need:
REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current LVN Licensure valid in the state of Texas or a Compact state is required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Licensed Vocational Nursing or an Associate's Degree.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and write Basic English with the essential skills necessary to interpret physician's orders.
Capacity to listen, empathize, and respond to the needs of patients, families, and internal and external partners.
Experience in Rehabilitation Nursing is preferred.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to lead a team and collaborate with others to ensure quality patient care.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Utilizes the FIM instrument to evaluate patient functional independence throughout the rehabilitation process.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
