Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce all climbing wall policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any issues to the Climbing Wall Coordinator.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to climbing wall participants, including belaying and spotting.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies and injuries in accordance with Campus Recreation policy.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to patrons on climbing techniques and safety protocols.
  • Assist with daily operations, including equipment inventory and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of basic customer service principles and indoor rock climbing techniques.
  • Ability to work at heights and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor events.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to equipment noise and dust.
