Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Per Diem Float Pool team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs
  • Document patient history and medical information
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in clinical procedures and diagnostic testing under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider
  • Perform venipuncture and other medical procedures as needed
  • Assist with prescription management and patient chart preparation
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure patient examination rooms are stocked
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance and hospital policies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a patient care setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • LPN licensure in the State of New York required
Working Conditions
  • Standing and walking required for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing of medical equipment
  • Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity
